Here's a small taste, with more information coming soon, but put it on your calendar NOW!
Part of our weekend will be learning about building in different environments. We will focus on CEB (Compressed Earth Blocks) and have real hands on activities.
From one of our esteemed teachers, Elizabeth Hurtado:
Fire proof, sound proof, mold proof, bullet proof, non-toxic, long lasting, ubiquitous, recyclable and cost effective; earthen structures, when designed appropriately, also possess the ability to regulate indoor temperatures and humidity levels. Join us in getting our hands dirty with compressed earth block (CEB) construction. Learn to identify dirt types, create stabilized dirt mixtures, press dirt into compressed blocks and build an awesome structure with all that dirt! Oh, and did we mention, it’s dirt cheap?
Investment for this weekend workshop is $225 and includes a local, organic, lunch each day from Juice Lab.
