The beloved tale of a Kansas farm girl who makes a miraculous journey over the rainbow, celebrating the joy and healing power of home.
AUDITION DATES: Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 7-10pm and Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 7-10pm.
CALL BACKS: Callbacks (if necessary) will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 3-6pm.
LOCATION: Auditions will be at Artisan Center Theater at 444 East Pipeline Road, Hurst, Texas 76053.
REHEARSAL DATES: Rehearsals will begin Tuesday, January 2, 2018 and will generally be Monday through Thursday evenings from 7-10pm and Saturdays from 9am-3pm, with some additional rehearsals on Friday evenings.
PRODUCTION DATES: The production runs February 9-March 17, 2018. Performances are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 7:30pm, with additional Saturday matinees at 3pm beginning February 17. Most parts are double cast to accommodate scheduling.

Come prepared to sing 32 bars of a song in the style of the show that will best display your vocal ability. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring a headshot/resume and your completed audition info found at artisanct.com/auditions.
Actors will also learn a brief dance combination following their vocal audition. If asked to return for a call back expect to read from the script and learn/sing a song from the show.
Actors will be given six complimentary vouchers to be used during the first four performances, a season ticket (valid for one year) to be used during the first week of Main Stage productions, a show t-shirt and scene shots from the production.
ABOUT THE SHOW: Like so many girls her age, Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy’s imagination in the beloved tale that celebrates the joy and healing power of home.
Based on the 1939 film starring Judy Garland, this heart-warming musical features classic songs such as “Over the Rainbow,” “We’re Off to See the Wizard,” and “The Merry Old Land of Oz.”
