2018 PREACHING WORKSHOP
Note to guest: If you can take care of your travel, hotel and one meal, we will take care of the rest.
FEBRUARY 2 – Friday
By having a Friday afternoon session attendees can avoid the Friday rush hour traffic and can already be in the area for the Preaching Workshop on Saturday morning.
2pm “Getting Ready for the Inevitable – Your Retirement”
This is a follow-up on my 2015 “Tenure, Tension, Transition, Termination” Workshop where over 50 attended. This is for young and old. The young need to get a plan. The old need to begin moving toward executing a plan. Preachers and their wives are encouraged to attend, if possible.
5 pm Dutch Treat at Spring Creek Bar BQ.
7pm “Making the Elijah-Elisha Connection”
This session centers around Elijah “finding his replacement” and Elisha “finding his responsibility.” This is the biblical principle of transfer of ministry. Preachers and their wives are welcome.
At the end there will be a Q and A session, followed by some fellowship time with others in the ministry.
