This Thursday we pay tribute to our beloved Jette Blaque, who passed away Sunday morning. Jette was one of the founding performers of Glitterbomb, and the creator of our traditional post-show line dance, which we have done at every single Glitterbomb since the first show. She appeared on our stage dozens and dozens of times, and has worked on production, crew, or been an audience member dozens more. There is an emptiness in our hearts this week. In spite of our pain, we will gather as only our glitterfamily can — in joy, in celebration, in sorrow, in hope, in laughter, and in sparkles. We invite you to come as you are and share this space with us.
Door fees will go to pay performers (many of whom will be donating their tips and pay), and donations and extra money will go to Nate to help him through this terrible adjustment period. No one will be turned away for lack of funds — if you can't pay, just let the door person know.
Some in our community need to make art to grieve. Some need to witness art to grieve. And others just need a cold drink and a warm hug. We've got all that and more.
