On September 29th, Chito Sanchez was diagnosed with early stage of Colon Cancer. On November 14th, he underwent surgery to successfully remove the cancer mass. He has had a few difficulties on his road to recovery with a few return hospital visits. He will not be returning to work until probably the end of January, depending on his health. He will need one more procedure in February as well.
On December 7th, Denise Ontiveros was diagnosed with stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. Unfortunately, an operation is not an option until they can reduce the mass. She will be having chemotherapy and radiation to treat the cancer. She also has been placed on a feeding tube as she unable to eat due to the mass.
As both are battling and recovering, their household is without income, as they are both paid for their services and not salary. This benefit is to help them with the necessities of bills until they are able to return to work. Denise and Chito have been through ups and downs as they have been together for over 13 years. They have continued to be each other's strength during the difficult times. We appreciate all those who have visited them and keep in contact with them during these days. We ask for support and join us on January 14th to show Team Denise and Team Chito that no one fights alone.
