Honoring the Birthday, and sterling example of the life of our Brother Malcolm X. The 2018 Malcolm X Festival is a family friendly event celebrating the contributions of African History and Culture, Health and Wellness, Political Education and Economic sustainability in our community.
The Malcolm X Festival is organized by grassroots community organizers, to remind our youth of the strength of their history and spark the fire of pride and confidence needed to transform negative ideas, to positive actions. Malcolm X was a youth who transformed from a life of crime to a man who sacrificed his life for justice and humanity. Consequently, so can our youth transform themselves; from the worst to the best, by learn...ing their history and culture.
The festival will showcase live bands, children’s activities, speakers, health and wellness booths, food, children’s oratorical contest and economic marketplace. Call 214-943-8262 for additional information.
The 2018 Malcolm X Festival Committee invites you to join our collective celebration of our unity, culture and self determination to move towards positive action. A day of fun, food, music, dance and cooperative economics.
