Mobility 2045: Metropolitan Transportation Plan for North Central Texas
Mobility 2045 will define a long-term vision for the region’s transportation system and guide spending of federal and state transportation funds. This includes funding for highways, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities and other programs that can reduce congestion and improve air quality. Draft recommendations will be presented. 2018 Transportation Conformity
Transportation Conformity is a federal requirement in nonattainment areas to conduct air quality analysis on transportation projects, programs and policies. Conformity determinations must demonstrate consistency betwee...n ozone-causing emissions expected from the implementation of transportation plans and programs and requirements set by the state. Staff will present information regarding 2018 Transportation Conformity.
Strategic Partnerships (Round 2)
The Strategic Partnerships Program awards federal funding to high-priority projects that leverage funds from local partners or are of strategic value to the region. Details on the program and the projects being proposed for funding will be presented for review and comment.
School Projects Update
The goal of the Community Schools and Transportation Program is to advance coordination between cities and school districts, promote sustainable school siting decisions and improve transportation safety and alternative transportation options to schools. Staff will discuss a new school siting guidebook as well as Safe Routes to School plans.
